Centering Prayer is a method of Christian silent prayer (meditation) which deepens our relationship with God, the Indwelling Presence. Our FIUCC Centering Prayer Group has been meeting since 2011. All are welcome to participate in our weekly prayer time on ZOOM. The method is very simple and we would love to have you join us!
We meet on Monday from 1:00-2:00 pm. Our hour includes an opening prayer, 20 minutes of silent prayer, lectio divina (multiple reading of a sacred text, listened to with an open heart, followed with a discussion of the text) and a closing prayer circle.

Comments: After worship Sharon Eason will lead a class for all ages on the art of rock painting. All materials, including rocks, paints and brushes will be provided. Just bring a snack to share. Weather permitting, we will set up outside. This is a family event and children are encouraged. However, playing on the lawn is perfectly acceptable.

Comments: The social committee will provide hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, condiments, salads and desserts. You are welcome to bring other dishes for the table. A donation jar will be set out to cover the BBQ expenses. People are encouraged to bring yard games; e.g., corn hole, ladder ball, croquet, etc.

Comments: The church will provide salmon. A donation jar will be set out to cover the cost of the salmon. All are encouraged to bring a potluck dish to share with others. In case of rain, we will set up inside.
